The art and science of a beautiful garden
art + science

Jennifer Mann's artistic abilities became apparent while studying art at Northern Arizona University.  Prompted by her professor to further her art education, she went on to Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado where she was able to pursue her studies in art and her other interests in science and the environment.  Having identified hundreds of plants in both San Miguel and Gunnison Counties, she not only gathered an impressive database but also a great appreciation for plants and their significant roles in native communities.  She graduated from Western State College in 1995 with a degree in Science and Environmental Ecology With an Emphasis in Botany.

Desiring to combine both art and botany with her love for the outdoors, Jennifer founded her own landscape design and maintenance company in 2003.  Having already acquired the abilities to draw landscapes by hand, Jennifer decided to further her knowledge by learning Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) to produce drawings and plans.  In 2005, she enrolled in the Anna Gresham School of Landscape Design and completed the very comprehensive program in 2007.
